Dr. Sood is excited to bring in new patients! He has more than two decades of experience treating patients. He also holds certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and gastroenterology.
Dr. Sood earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He then pursued fellowship training in gastroenterology at the University of Rochester and Genesee Hospital. He is now affiliated with Laurel Regional Hospital and Doctors Community Hospital.

Dr. Sood is a personable, gentle doctor. Great listener and communicator. Although the office was very busy, he did NOT rush through the appointment. He was very laid back, and that put me at ease.
I will say the medical assistant needs to let the patient rest before putting on pressure cuff off for blood pressure reading. I also know I should have been sitting on a chair, not the room bed. Other than that my experience was fantastic.

Hours before being seen follow up tele-visits was not clear and left with questions. Never received billing statements, but was billed and educated to pay hours before appointment. Staff is rude & doesn’t listen to concerns and will over talk you, especially Susan. I am highly disappointed as I am still experiencing issue I came in with three months ago.

Things in the office could use an upgrade, but it's clean and serviceable. Paperwork redundancy irks me, nut that was personal and a pretty run of the mill experience at doctor's offices. Dr. Sood was amazing. A great great listener. He is extremely knowledgeable and a fantastic communicator. He gave me suggestions that could literally end up saving my life. Dr Sood is the best GI I have come across. Unlike other GI's he didn't try to get rid of me, neither he rushed me. He listened to my concern. Answered all the questions and ordered additional exams which other doctors didn't even think off. He was also very helpful in prescribing an effective drug and also fighting with insurance because they almost never cover for the expensive drugs.
