Dr. Sara Heikali was born and raised in Southern California. She attended University of California Los Angeles, UCLA, for her undergraduate degree in psychobiology and went on to achieve her minor in accounting. Furthering her education, she received her Masters of Business Administration at the prestigious Loyola Marymount University. She pursued her doctoral degree in optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton. After earning her degree in optometry, she practiced in various optometry offices throughout Los Angeles where she gained immense knowledge and experience in all aspects of eyesight. Her practice specializes in a wide range in optometry including adult comprehensive eye exams, soft contact lens fittings (spherical/toric/monovision/multifocal), and management for ocular diseases such as glaucoma, hypertensive retinopathy, diabetic retinopathy, ARMD, and dry eye. She is a member of the California Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and the Los Angeles County Optometric Society. Dr. Heikali is an entrepreneur who has invented procedures and devices to enhance the practice of optometry and ophthalmology in treated multiple eye conditions. She is fluent in Farsi, some Hebrew and English.
Dr. Heikali has been co-managing ophthalmic medical procedures and LASIK her entire career. She takes tremendous pride in providing her patients with the highest level of care, whether she is writing a prescription, treating a medical condition or referring a patient for a surgical consultation. Dr. Heikali only chooses to work with the most experienced surgeons who utilize state of the art technology. Advising her valued patients for a variety of procedures and treatment options is very important to her. She enjoys educating her patients of the benefits it provides whether it is a lifestyle choice, convenience or a medically necessary procedure.
