About Dr. Sara Rizvi

A diplomate and fellow of the American Board of Pediatrics, Sara Rizvi, MD, FAAP, first attended the University of Houston, graduating magna cum laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She went on to complete her medical degree at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Medical School in 2000. After completing her internship, Dr. Rizvi completed her Pediatrics residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. A child of a NICU registered nurse, Dr. Rizvi wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps by entering the medical profession, becoming a caring advocate for children’s preventive and public health. She treats children of all ages for a variety of healthcare needs, including vaccinations, health guidance, well care, and care for routine illness. Her clinical interests also include asthma care, international medicine, and disaster management with care of child refugees. In her daily practice, Dr. Rizvi enjoys building camaraderie with her patients and their families. She joined Kelsey-Seybold in October 2023. Dr. Rizvi is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In her spare time, Dr. Rizvi is an avid mountain trekker who enjoys traveling, international and local community charity projects, and spending time with her huskies and family.
