Dr. Sarah England is a licensed clinical psychologist with specialized training in neuropsychology at the Williamsburg Therapy Group. She works with a wide range of individuals who are experiencing cognitive (thinking and memory) difficulties related to a range of conditions including ADHD, and provides neuropsychological evaluations to help clarify and characterize their concerns. As a clinical neuropsychologist, Dr. England focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of cognitive difficulties and possible brain dysfunction. She believes it is important to offer individuals a safe environment with compassionate, client-centered evaluations focusing on the mind-brain-body connection, and collaborative care. Such care is accomplished through collaboration and cooperation with the individual, and other providers participating in the individual’s care (e.g., therapists, psychiatrists, physicians). Additionally, the use of cognitive remediation, coping strategies/skills, and cognitive and behavioral therapy for behavioral changes and challenges can be recommended and provided.
Dr. England obtained her Doctorate in Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University where she focused on the mind-brain-body connection in terms of gait, cognitive, and mood functioning in older adults. She completed her neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship at VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven – Yale School of Medicine, and Lenox Hill Hospital, Department of Neurology/Neurosurgery.
