I am Saudat Lawal, DNP, CRNP, PA, WV Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am a graduate of Robert Morris University's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from South University, Savannah, and am ANCC Board Certified in Psychiatric Mental Health.
I am a Registered Nurse (RN) with 20 years of experience in various roles, including Psychiatric Nurse, Geriatric Nurse, and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in skilled nursing facilities with locked Alzheimer's/Dementia units. I have served as Director of Nursing and Chief Nursing Officer at a local behavioral hospital-a free-standing, three-unit, 48-bed inpatient psychiatric facility. My work has focused on the Severely and Persistently Mentally Ill (SPMI) adult population, including those with dual diagnoses and medical comorbidities.
I am familiar with many practice models, including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, recovery-focused interventions, community resource linkage, and case management. Over the course of my nursing career and training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have gained valuable experience and knowledge across multiple levels of care, successfully managing various psychiatric diagnoses in children, adolescents, and adults from diverse populations.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
