“I recommend this Dr, he is nice with very good welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable person. Answered all the questions and asking for a long history of the patient. The office staff are nice and helpful.
Only two things are very important to be manage it.
1. Wait time before meeting the doctor, I wait around 1 & half hour in the checkup room to meet doctor, it’s very hard for a patient and the attendance to wait this much time.
2. The office location is not clear, the sigh boards look like the office is belong to the kids school, the logo looks same like a Chinese school, please consider the mentioned issues.
Rest I will visit this doctor again & again and recommend him to others.”

He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Kakatiya Medical College. His career includes serving as Medical Director for numerous private practices, acting as Chief of the Division of Pain Medicine at Saint Vincent’s Hospital, and consulting for Tufts University and the New York Rangers. While at New York Medical College (Saint Vincent’s Hospital), he was Program Director of Pain Medicine Fellowships and led the Division of Pain Management to achieve JCAHO accreditation.
Dr. Upadhyayula specializes in treating chronic pain, focusing on conditions such as neck and back pain, herniated discs, and joint pain. He offers advanced treatments including joint and epidural injections targeting arthritis and spinal stenosis. With expertise in managing sciatic nerve pain and degenerative disc disease, he employs the latest minimally invasive techniques and personalized care plans to enhance patients' quality of life and relieve discomfort.
One of his most fulfilling experiences as a physician in New York was serving the city he made his home during the 9/11 crisis. As Director of the Burn Unit at Saint Vincent’s Hospital, he spent several weeks at Ground Zero with the core medical team, assisting in search and rescue, medical care, and cleanup efforts. For his service, he was awarded the Nargis-Dutt Memorial Humanitarian Award for Medical Efforts.
Dr. Upadhyayula is a member and lecturer of The American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, The American Society of Anesthesiologists, and The International Spinal Injection Society. His philanthropic work includes spending several weeks annually in India promoting health reform and education through peer-to-peer networking and volunteering at free-care clinics.

Explained to me the possible avenues we would take to help relieve me of the pain and showed me what was causing said pain. Didn't push me into dong anything I wasn't comfortable with and so we're on a trial run with a new drug for me to try to relieve the inflammation. Would recommend Doc to anyone suffering from back pain. Office is neat and clean, and the receptionists are friendly which makes a big difference in a visit.

He worked with a physical therapist and a nurse who were on present via video call. They took notes for him and when he came back, they summarized the details that o sharedn He was very thorough and took his time to explain what he believed was happening to me. So far I am satisfied with his treatment plan.

Doctor Sekar Upadhyayula is an amazing physician. He is caring, considerate and very knowledgeable. He is a great listener and his follow-ups amaze me. He takes the time to check in after appointments. I must also say that the entire staff is wonderful, and efficient. The office is lean and professional.

So far so good. I have been going back-and-forth as to whether I should come to the office or not. It is close to my house and my job so I like the convenience the doctor was very nice but I’m not sure if he can help me(I’ve tried everything) we are going to try something new in the next appt and even though I am scared it should be okay. He? was very nice and professional.
