About Selma Mujezinovic
Dr. Mujezinovic is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who provides her patients individualized holistic healthcare, tailoring her plan of care to each patient in order to help them achieve their maximum potential. She incorporates art and science of medicine as well as advanced practice nursing care into her care delivery model. Dr. Mujezinovic practices evidenced based medicine and provides traditional medical care, as well as health promotion counseling to all her patients. Forming long term strong relationships with her patients is a foundation to her clinical practice.Dr. Mujezinovic grew up in Bosnia, she moved to Rochester in the August of 1995 and has been working at the Rochester Regional Health since the October of 1996 in various clinical and administrative roles. She has been working as a Nurse Practitioner in our community since February of 2004.
In her Senior Leadership role of the System VP for the Advanced Practice she is responsible in overseeing ~1100 APPs. She ensures the provision of the highest quality patient care through providing leadership, consultation and advocacy to ensure all aspects of the APP practice including Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and Physician Assistants (PAs) practice to fullest scope of licensure. She provides day-to-day support for all issues relating to APPs, including credentialing, contracting, education, performance metrics, mentoring, benefit and salary issues, and participated on the appropriate RRH committees that impact these providers. Dr. Mujezinovic works closely with Medical Staff Office and Executive leadership team, assure that all APPs meet or exceed the criteria set forth by the RRH System, the DNV, State and Federal Credentialing and scope of practice regulations. She coordinates RRH APP Council, she appoints committees/teams as necessary to promote the interests of APPs.
