Dr. Serj Nazarian, surgeon, author and speaker is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and has been in practice in the Verde Valley and Sedona since 1993. He has been on medical staff at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood since 1993 and has served on the Medical Executive Committee since 2008.
Dr. Nazarian moved to the area after completion of two years of Podiatric residency at Cart T. Hayden Veterans Administration Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
He received extensive training in management of the diseased foot through either conservative or surgical interventions.
He is highly trained and interested in management of the diabetic foot in order to prevent and reduce amputation rate. He advocates integrating multi-medical specialty approaches to treat and manage diabetics and peripheral vascular disease patients.
Dr. Nazarian has developed a very unique practice in the area of reconstructive foot surgery as well as conservative management of proper gait development in adults and children.

Even though it was a Christmas day still the doctor came all the way to honor the appointment that i made the previous day. Listened very well to my problem and did the procedure satisfactorily.

The wait was caused because the office could not find the appointment made through ZocDoc. His staff went out of its way to accommodate me, and I was able to see Dr. Nazarian. I found him to be straight forward, knowledgeable, honestly concerned. I would definitely recommend his practice.

Dr. Nazarian is great. He was able to diagnose my condition and gave me treatment options. Rather than take a "one size fits all approach" Dr. Navarian was very thorough, took his time and provided me with valuable options. He is very bright, warm, friendly, punctual and is extremely professional. These are attributes are important to me when I see a medical provider. I would highly recommend him to my family, friends and colleagues should the need arise to see a DPM.

He was very rough; grabbed my foot and started cutting my toenail without any prep or discussion. It was painful. He then told me he was done and grabbed my foot again and cut some more. My husband was in the room and asked if there was something to numb my foot. The doctor said he could have done it before he cut but by then it was too late. He minimized my pain by telling me it was in my head - my toe was red and swollen and painful to the touch, as he grabbed it and pressed down to get to the nail if became more painful. I felt this treatment was unprofessional and I will not return for follow-up as he suggested.

I liked Doctor Nazarian right away. He gave me a thorough breakdown of my foot injury and the recovery/surgery options. He also has a sense of humor. Very good thing to have in a doctor's office.
