I was able to book with Dr Hinton for the very next day. I checked in online and filled out a detailed info sheet. The next morning, I was contacted by her office, to touch bases about the nature of the visit. The appointment was very thorough. I expected to have to listen to the usual worn-out lecture about nutrition and exercise. Instead, we had a REAL CONVERSATION, not just rush in and rush out and barely even look at me. Dr. Hinton's tone was down to earth, friendly, and plain spoken. She spoke to me like she assumed I had common sense, not condescendingly like a lot of doctors do. I left feeling like I was a participant in my own healthcare, which is something I haven't experienced since my old family doctor moved away about ten years ago. ”
