We are NOT a specialist office. We do NOT see patients for dermatology, OBGYN services or orthopedic consultations.
Insurances: We do not accept Medicaid. We accept most Commercial insurance plans, Traditional Medicare, and most Medicare Advantage plans. If you have an HMO plan we have to be listed as your Primary Care Provider on your insurance.
Shivani started her medical journey at Saint Mary’s College of California in 2016. She graduated with a Bachelor degree of Science in Allied Health Sciences. After graduation, she worked in the Bay Area as a Medical Assistant before moving to Arizona to pursue a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. While in school she spent 6 weeks in Austin and fell in love with the culture and community. She graduated in 2022 and has since relocated to Austin. In her free time she enjoys hiking, kayaking, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.

Weird and horrible parking area, but the building itself and inside was nice and cool. Reception greeted me right away and checked me in. Was called back super quick and saw Dr. Patel not long after they checked my vitals. She was very attentive and sympathetic to what was going on. Overall, quick and painless and so glad they got me in.

Overall an okay experience, but also frustrating to get adequate care and communication. Office intake went smoothly, and those at the front desk were very kind and welcoming. Waited around 45 minutes, but also arrived 15 minutes early. Was never asked to visually inspect the issue I was at the appointment for, and next steps were pretty unclear. Offered to prescribe me medicine, even though I had no diagnosis before my test results came back, which felt a little alarming. I waited for test results but realized I was never given info to connect to a patient portal, so I had to call the office myself to ask for it. Although test results were abnormal, provider never followed up to help explain or interpret the results. This whole experience left me feeling frustrated and isolated in terms of quality of care, especially for a personal health issue that can be scary or taboo to navigate.

I set an appointment for a mammogram, however the appointment was just a breast exam, because this Dr office did not offer the services I had made the appointment for.
The ZocDoc Application should specify what is actually offered at the place the appointment is booked. This is not the fault of the Dr. Or the office, but rather something the application needs to correct in order to avoid confusion, etc.

Shivani is honestly the best doctor I’ve ever seen. If you have anxiety going to the doctor, seriously make an appointment with her. The office is calm and small, and Shivani is very knowledgeable, a great listener, kind, and happy to help. The nurses and office staff are super kind and gentle as well. Happy to say I finally found a primary care provider I want to go back to!
