About Rachael Kimpan
Rachael Kimpan holds a Master’s in Family Health Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UTMB Health – University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed to practice in Texas and Colorado.
Rachael believes patient care should be unique to meet the needs of a diverse population. Originally from South Texas, Rachael’s upbringing along the border while being raised in an Eastern European household fostered a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, which remains central to her approach to patient care. With over a decade of experience as an RN in the ER and as a Nurse Practitioner with specialized wellness and aesthetic practices, she provides comprehensive care that combines evidence-based Family Medicine with individualized wellness strategies tailored to meet each patient’s unique needs.
Outside of work, Rachael’s passion for health extends into her own life. As a former collegiate swimmer and NPC bodybuilder, she’s all about balance—whether it’s meal-prepping gluten-free dishes, finding vintage gems at Austin’s thrift shops, or tending to her ever-growing collection of houseplants. She also loves traveling to international destinations as well as enjoying Austin’s vibrant local scene.

They were prepared for me, I was taken back quickly. I pre-checked in through the website, but when I arrived I literally sat for maybe a minute or two before going back. I was very impressed!

I didn’t catch the first lady’s name, but I assume she is either a nurse or medical assistant. She was so comforting as I was very anxious for this appointment. She was smiling the whole time and told me exactly what was going on every step of the way. Dr. Kimpan was also fantastic. She provided me with reassurance and all of the necessary information. She not only helped me with my general exam but also took the time to address any other concerns. With my anxiety, she handled everything perfectly by not responding to my anxious statements and redirecting my attention to what was really important. This is an amazing clinic.

First the office sent me a new patient form to fill out, which was long, then I had to repeat everything I put on there to the medical assistant because she didn’t have any of my information from the form. It then took an hour for the NP to come in. She then got upset when I didn’t know exact dates of when I had medical problems 6 years ago. She did not help me or offer any medication/prescription or anything to relieve the nausea and 8 out of 10 pain I came in for and told me she wasn’t going to draw labs. She wouldn’t fill a medication I’ve consistently been prescribed for 8 years. She did not even correctly auscultate (listen with her stethoscope in the correct places). She then referred me to 3 different providers (of which she told me would probably take “forever” to get in with) and told me to come back for an annual physical within the next two weeks, when the only difference between what she did then vs a physical would’ve been blood work/labs. Safe to say I won’t be returning

I had to wait quite a bit for my appointment, but honestly it was worth it after meeting my provider! She was so kind, personable, and a great listener. I would take a long wait over a provider I feel uncomfortable around any day. I love this office. I’ve met with two different providers here and they were both fantastic to work with.
