About Dr. Simon Greenbaum

Dr. Simon Greenbaum is a board-certified and fellowship-trained joint replacement surgeon who specializes in direct anterior hip replacement, posterior hip replacement, partial knee replacement, total knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, and hip and knee replacement infections. He is trained in multiple computer-navigation systems and is certified with the Mako Robot for robotic hip and knee replacement. Dr. Greenbaum was born and raised on Long Island, and he completed all of his medical education and training in the New York area. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with dean’s honors in 2014. Dr. Greenbaum completed his 5-year residency at Montefiore Medical Center. He then continued his advanced training with a yearlong fellowship in adult reconstruction (joint replacement) at NYU Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases (HJD) / Insall Scott Kelly (ISK) Institute. He trained with many renowned surgeons, including Dr. Roy Davidovitch, from whom he learned the direct anterior approach total hip replacement. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Greenbaum was elected to the American Orthopaedic Association’s Emerging Leaders Program.

Dr Greenbaum was awesome. I had X-rays taken upon my arrival by a very pleasant technician. Dr. Greenbaum came in so fast I was actually shocked. You usually have to wait quite a while before the doctor comes into the room. Not here. He was super friendly and addressed my problem with my knees immediately. I received cortisone shots in both knees and honestly, didn’t feel a thing. It’s been three hours since the shots and I feel amazing. Dr Greenbaum definitely knows his craft. Thank you Dr. Greenbaum. And kiddos to his amazing staff as well.

Dr. Greenbaum greeted me cordially as a new patient and diagnosed my problem well. He was honest and polite. However, I would have liked to receive more information about physical therapy and causes of my condition.

Dr asked to do a MRI, and said I have to do a x-ray before MRI as that will be accepted by insurance, although I have done x-ray before already. But the MRI office never came back to me. I called 20+ times to follow up and no one picked up. Later, I contacted the doctor's office to ask for help and they said they cannot do anything but transferring my call their MRI department, and then no one responded.
The office was efficient. Gracious and prompt Dr greenbaum was friendly. Listened to me with interest about my complaints. He had a plan of treatment and let me voice my concern . He was very knowledgeable and made me feel confident and very hopeful
