“Everything about this place was awesome, I usually have a lot of anxiety going to any doctor visit but everything about this place was very comforting. Receptionist was very polite, very calm lobby. Dr Grushchak was amazing, excellent bedside manner and I loved how friendly and down-to-earth she was. I’ve had a lot of doctors talk to me in kind of a fake friendly voice but this time felt like talking to a friend but obviously in a professional manner. The nurse was very kind and friendly too, listened to everything I had to say with full undivided attention. I highly and strongly recommend Dr Grushchak!”

About Dr. Solomiya Grushchak
Solomiya Grushchak, MD, is a Board Certified Dermatologist & Mohs Micrographic Surgeon, Member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, Medical Surgical & Cosmetic Dermatology. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, procedural dermatology, and laser surgery in La Jolla and the greater San Diego area.
Dr. Grushchak received her undergraduate degree from the Honors Program at Loyola University Chicago. She was granted early acceptance to medical school through the Early Assurance Program and obtained her Doctor of Medicine (M.D) at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Grushchak was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Society in medical school. She completed her intern year at Scripps Hospital in San Diego and her dermatology residency at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County, where she served as Chief Resident. To better serve the needs of her patients, Dr. Grushchak continued her training at the University of California – Irvine, specializing in cutaneous oncology, Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstruction, aesthetic medicine, and laser surgery with experts in the field.
Dr. Grushchak has published over 30 research manuscripts and book chapters in facial anatomy and skin cancer and presents at national conferences. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and The American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS).
In her spare time, Dr. Grushchak enjoys advocating for the Ukrainian diaspora, running, surfing, skiing, attending live music concerts, and spending time with her family and friends. She is currently learning Spanish, is fluent in Ukrainian, and is proficient in Polish.
