She has led many studies and authored approximately 25 publications in peer-reviewed dermatology journals and textbooks. Dr. Lamel was also granted a Gold Triangle Award from the American Academy of Dermatology for work in community outreach, as well as her promotion of skin cancer awareness, having had a bout with melanoma herself.
