About Dr. Stacey Franz

Dr. Stacey Franz is a fellowship-trained medical physician with board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry) with a sub-specialty certification in Sports Medicine. She utilizes a non-surgical approach to treat a variety of musculoskeletal dysfunction, which includes injury to the joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons, and fascia. Furthermore, she specializes in non-surgical treatment of spinal dysfunction. She is the Co-Medical Director of our organization and currently sees patients in our Jackson, Point Pleasant, Aberdeen, and Freehold locations. Dr. Franz received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Physical Therapy from Springfield College. She completed her medical training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned the Student D.O. of the Year award and the Mason W. Pressly Medal for her outstanding achievement and service to the College, community, and the osteopathic profession. Dr. Franz was born and raised in Monmouth County, NJ. Although she left NJ for her training, she always knew that she would return to her home to practice. It was actually during her training to become a physical therapist that she developed a passion for medicine and thus, returned to school to become a physician. Just as the Humanics Philosophy was the backbone of her physical therapy training, osteopathy underlined her medical training; these views parallel each other and furthermore, guided her professional and personal development toward a career in medicine. When she is not working, Dr. Franz enjoys traveling, live music, watching ice hockey, baking, and spending time with her family.

I had fluid drained from my knee two years ago by a different doctor and the pain was almost unbearable. When I saw Dr. Franz today, she wanted to inject the gel treatment into my knee, and I was terrified at the idea. But she was AMAZING! No pain at all! What a difference. She has a warm, welcoming personality.
One of the best doctors I have had the pleasure of seeing. Does not use medical terms and if she does she makes sure you understand what's going on. Speaks very clearly and is very symphathic. Excellent doctor would recommend to anyone.
