Stacey Miller, PMHNP-BC

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
NY
I am Stacey Miller, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with almost thirty years of experience in mental health. Many of the people I work with come in feeling frustrated—tired of battling depression, anxiety, poor sleep, mood swings, or just not feeling themselves. They often feel stuck, discouraged, or feeling unheard. What they want is real relief, a clear diagnosis, and a treatment plan that finally makes sense. Most of all, they want to feel grounded, confident, and back in control of their lives. I’ve worked in mental health since 1997 and became a board-certified PMHNP in 2020. I specialize in depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, mood and psychotic disorders. My style is direct, honest, and client centered. I value working with you a team to provide clarity with a correct diagnosis and to create a plan that truly works for you. I’m passionate about helping people improve their quality of life, and I don’t give up on my clients. My goal is for you to feel safe, supported, and confident in your progress. If you’re ready to try something different and feel like yourself again, I’d be honored to work with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is direct, honest, and client centered. I have also been known to use humor in my sessions. I believe the best outcomes happen when care is collaborative, so I will involve you in every step of the decision-making process. I want you to feel like we are a team. Together, we look at what hasn’t worked and explore what might work differently to optimize the benefits of psychiatric care. My goal is for you to feel safe, supported, and confident in your ability to experience real improvement in your symptoms.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we’ll take the time to fully understand what’s been going on and what’s bringing you in now. We’ll work together to determine an accurate diagnosis and create a thoughtful, personalized treatment plan. You can expect honesty, compassion, and partnership. Most importantly, you can expect someone who is committed to helping you move from feeling stuck to feeling steady, empowered, and hopeful again.
