About Dr. Stephanie Carter-Robin
Expert podiatrist, Stephanie Carter-Robin, DPM, brings more than 25 years of experience in integrative podiatric medicine to her self-titled, New York City-based practice, serving men, women, and families in Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, and throughout the area of Queens.
Dr. Carter-Robin began her professional pursuits at the University of Louisiana at Monroe in Monroe, Louisiana where she earned her Bachelor of Science. Following graduation, Dr. Carter-Robin moved to New York and enrolled at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, New York. She excelled in the program and obtained her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine four years later.
Dr. Carter-Robin subsequently completed a residency in podiatric primary care as well as a residency in podiatric surgery, both while serving at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals in New York City. She’s board-certified in podiatric medicine, podiatric surgery, and the prevention and treatment of diabetic foot wounds.
Since entering private practice, Dr. Carter-Robin has served in various positions, including Chief of Podiatry at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York. At her practice, Dr. Carter-Robin loves spending one-on-one time with her patients and understanding their unique concerns. She regularly develops custom treatment plans and can address a wide variety of issues, including bunions, hammertoe, heel pain, nail and skin disorders, plantar fasciitis, and sports injuries. Dr. Carter-Robin also specializes in the integrative treatment of diabetic foot problems.
When she isn’t meeting with patients or developing custom treatment plans, Dr. Carter-Robin works to augment her professional skills and education. She also holds hospital privileges at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, Maimonides Medical Center, and Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.

My second visit confirmed my initial concerns regarding the nature of the care being provided. Appointments focused primarily on collecting co-pay and scheduling additional, unnecessary visits rather than my medical concerns.
Issues discussed during second visit could have been resolved through a phone call. My statements and explanations were not meaningfully acknowledged. Instead, the discussion centered almost exclusively on why I needed to return for further appointments—despite the fact that the requested actions were already being performed by my primary care physician.
To be clear, I would have willingly returned for additional visits if there had been any indication that something abnormal or concerning was occurring. However, that was not the case. Requiring in-person appointments under these circumstances resulted in an unnecessary use of my time and additional billing to my insurance without a corresponding medical justification.
Stay away.

I am very happy with Dr. Stephanie. She helped me with my issue. It is just the front staff that seems to need a lesson on billing. I have 3 different coverages and was still asked to pay my copayment not knowing about how the plans cover one another. I am to wait for a call from billing to get my refund. Every time a patient has more than one plan you are to bill the claim with all the coverages attached and wait to se who pays what then if need be send a bill. Not professional to collect a copay with additional coverages available.

The doctor was extremely rude to me after I told her I had an issue with the soft cast and needed to remove it. She immediately told me she could not treat me any further and talked to me like I was a small child. I would not reccomend her to anyone. I have been to so many doctors and never have I ever been treated this rudely. Yes I did not do the right things but that is why I was there to follow up and discuss but instead I was dismissed to never be seen again. There are WAY WAY better doctors out there.

Dr. Carter-Robin is probably the most straightforward and most efficient doctor. Loved her from the very first appointment! She was very thorough with her explanations and went through every detail, made sure I understood everything that was going on. She’s also a very concerned doctor and she asks many questions to get a better understanding of how to help. One of my favorite appointments to go to!

Dr Carter-Robin wasn’t in so I can’t review her but I met with another doctor who was very nice and treated the issues with my feet well. My only concern was the long wait and a sales tax I was charged on my co pay.

I brought my mom to be seen by the doctor as I had once been seen before without a problem. The appointment with my mom was terrible. The doctor was rude and rushed. She did not address my mother once or explain what was happening in her treatment. My mom left feeling very frustrated and confused. Neither of us will be returning to this office. Not a good experience.

This was the best visit I had to a doctor in NYC in a long time. The office was clean. The doctor was not overbooked so I was able to see her right away. The exam room was clean and efficiently arranged.
The front desk staff was friendly and informative. A perfect visit.

Was seen quickly despite my arrival 15 minutes late due to traffic. I saw a colleague of Dr Carters (Dr. Meehan) and she was kind, thoughtful and spent good time explaining several treatment options for an issue I have been dealing with.

I have never felt more uncomfortable at a doctors appointment. She’s downright rude and rushed through everything. When I asked her about a spot on my foot that I had asked her about at the beginning of the appointment but she had failed to addressed, she refused to look at it and said she could look at it at my follow up. She didn’t even introduce herself to me, she walked in the room and said “how can I help you?” In a tone as if I was annoying her. Her biggest concern was getting my copay. I felt like she was lecturing me throughout the entire visit. Will not return. I have no idea how she has any positive reviews.
