What should a new client know about working with you?

Psychotherapy in conjunction with medications is often the optimal treatment approach. Having a greater understanding of one's internal world and struggles is key to developing a happier life. Therapy is a partnership in this endeavor.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

After an initial evaluation session, a collaborative decision is made as to whether an individual will continue in treatment for medication only, with psychotherapy provided elsewhere (or not at all), or a combined approach of talk therapy with medication will be initiated. For combined treatment, followups are usually on a regular basis, typically weekly, for medication only followups are generally on a less frequent basis, monthly or less.

The doctor was unprofessional and condescending. Did a poor job of listening and making clear he understood my issue. Seemingly disorganized, late to each meeting, and a poor communicator. You would do well to find a different provider.
