I grew up in Northern Wisconsin, where I struggled every fall with seasonal allergies. Like many kids, I was raised with a medicine-cabinet approach to health—taking whatever my mom had on hand to feel better. That early experience shaped how I view health and healing today. My journey into chiropractic began in an unexpected way. While playing junior hockey for the Madison Capitals, I suffered a traumatic injury during practice that left me unconscious and seizing on the ice. Though initial x-rays were inconclusive, years later in chiropractic school, I discovered that I had sustained a C6 compression fracture. That injury—and the missed diagnosis—ignited a passion to help others find the true source of their health concerns. I earned my B.S. in Biology from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, where I also played collegiate hockey. I later attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia, graduating Cum Laude with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1997. While at Life, I was inspired by the Gonstead chiropractic philosophy and mentored by leaders like Alex Cox, Lou Corletto, and Shawn Labelle—individuals who instilled in me the importance of treating the spine and nervous system as the keys to overall wellness. For more than two decades, I’ve been practicing in Tennessee alongside my wife of 30 years, Tricia, who works with me in the office. Together we’ve raised four healthy, active children—Amelia, Camden, Therien, and Genevieve—all of whom have grown up with regular chiropractic care. We’re also dog lovers, especially Doodles, and currently share our home with Lambeau, Whiskey, and Bentley. My approach to health is guided by a simple principle: The secret to health is regularity. I follow the R.E.A.C.H. lifestyle—Regular sleep, Exercise, a positive Attitude, Chiropractic care, and Healthy choices. I believe true health isn’t about reacting to illness, but creating habits that promote wellness every day.
