Dr. Steven Charous is an otolaryngologist head and neck surgeon (ENT surgeon) who subspecializes in laryngology, voice and swallowing disorders as well as in diagnosing and treating tumors of the thyroid, throat and neck in Chicago, Illinois. He received his medical degree from the Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Charous completed residencies in general surgery and otolaryngology at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he completed a laryngology and voice disorder fellowship.
Dedicated to keeping his practice current, Dr. Charous maintains membership in professional organizations including the American Medical Association, American Academy of Otolaryngology, and the American Head and Neck Society. In 2012 and 2013, Dr. Charous was awarded U.S. News & World Report Top Doctor, and in 2013 was named America’s Top Physician by the Consumer’s Research Council of America.

Doctor and staff was very courteous, but no one seemed to know I had a prescription (it never got called in to the pharmacy, either) and the doctor glossed over a couple of the ailments I asked him to look over.
