Dr. Herman has particular expertise in the management of lung cancer, complex chest malignancies, and neuroendocrine tumors of the chest. Dr. Herman is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and serves on the Admissions Committee of the American College of Surgeons Brooklyn/LI district. He had been selected for the New York Times Superdoctor listing. Prior to joining Maimonides, Dr. Herman has served as Chief, Thoracic Surgery at both SUNY-Downstate/Long Island College Hospital, and Hackensack Meridian Health/Mountainside Medical Center.
