I found his diagnosis of my skin issue to be accurate, the medication he provided helped and the condition went away. I only spoke with him for a very short period of time, so I cannot really say much else. Overall, I would most likely go back depending on what the issue was.

Dr. Steven Kahn was great! He listened to my concerns and provided his recommendations. The receptionist on the other hand was not welcoming at all. Extremely rude from the moment I walked through the door.

Steven Kahn pursued a degree in mathematics and computer science at Tufts University. He completed two years of basic science research, one year at the National Institutes of Health and one year at Johns Hopkins, before attending medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed an internship at Saint Joseph Hospital and his dermatology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. In his spare time, he enjoys playing violin and piano.

Dr. Kahn was great! But the actual appointment was completely downgraded by everyone else in the office. The front desk lady was extraordinarily rude! The nurse was okay, maybe just shy.

Dr. Kahn is excellent - the best medical doctor I have ever seen! I went to Dr. Kahn for a few different dermatology issues/concerns, and every time he has been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. Plus, his bedside manner is very caring, attentive, and personable. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Steven Kahn did a lengthy consultation with me and removed a mole for me on Friday.
I was absolutely impressed with him and his nursing staff.
He has an excellent bedside manner and wonderful communication skills. He put me at ease, and I have a propensity toward anxiety about medical procedures. He also answered all of my questions and even returned when I realized I had forgotten to bring up an additional question afterward.
The complaints about wait time are not unfounded, but I have experienced the very same at other dermatologists too. Allow an extra 20 minutes of wiggle room for wait time.
The practice is conveniently located right by Old Orchard Mall, but a bit hard to find behind a bank building.
I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

My first visit was for a rash I had gotten on my hands. I have had the same rash for over 15 years and have never had it checked by a dermatologist, so I thought I'd see what he could tell me. I had an appointment, but was kept waiting for over 30 minutes. The doctor was nice, and asked if I would like to have a biopsy done to determine the source of my rash. I agreed, but told him we'd have to schedule another time because I was late for my next appointment due to the long wait. He asked me to come in the next day and I did. Although I was only there because they had me wait so long the first time, they charged me a SECOND "office visit copay" for the 5 minute biopsy, and when the results came back several weeks later, I was told that it was "a reaction to something". Umm, duh! I paid two office fees, my time, and who knows what else for the actual biopsy and lab fees (haven't gotten the bill yet) for that? I was told that we would be able to get a better idea of what was causing this rash, and that was the ONLY reason I agreed to the biopsy!
I definitely don't recommend this office and won't be back. This was incredibly unhelpful and now I'm left with a permanent scar on my hand and money out of my pocket for absolutely no reason.
I'll also add that while waiting for my 2nd appointment, the receptionist was very unprofessional and complaining about her personal life, members of the staff, and an aching tooth for all in the waiting room to hear. Not pleasant.

I scheduled online for 11, the office called after & said there was a glitch, & asked me to come at 9:30 am. I saw Dr. Kahn for about 5 minutes total after waiting for an hour for my appointment. As a brand new patient, not 1 person from the office apologized for the wait, nor did they offer any updates on when I would be seen. There were also at least 3 patients scheduled with Dr. Kahn who arrived after me, that were taken back well after my appointment was supposed to have started. The doctor himself was very, very kind, but I was pretty frusted with the office staff's lack of communication.

It was a very quick visit. I felt like I was kind of rushed out. Dr. Kaan was proffessional and I have no negative feedback about him to not refer him or go to him again. I guess the white spots on my neck are not that serious. He didn't tell me how to avoid getting them and I forgot to ask.

Dr. Kahn is VERY nice and understanding. It was my first time going to see him and he listened to me first, then answered my questions and was respectful of my concerns. I have already recommended him to many other people because of how comfortable it was to be there as a patient.
Also this being my first time using zocdoc I recommend that as well. I wanted to be sure to leave a review because his other reviews are what made me choose to go see him.

Had tried 2 other dermatologists before and both were rude and dismissive. Dr. Kahn and his staff were patient, understanding and helpful. I felt actually listened to and he didn't make me feel like I was one of a hundred patients or that he was in a rush. He listened patiently and answered all my questions and was thoughtful and throrough in the decisions for treatment.

My interaction with Dr. Kahn was brief but pleasant. I felt comfortable and Dr. Kahn presented as very competent in his field. The only downside to my visit was the receptionist was obnoxiously loud. I overheard every phone call as if she was talking directly at me. I felt annoyed and impatient while waiting.

I saw Dr. Kahn for an embarrassing rash. He put me at ease and came up with a treatment plan that quickly cleared up my rash. He was extremely helpful in treating my daughter's acne as well.
