I specifically made an appointment with the Physician but was seen by the nurse practitioner. Other practices on ZocDoc are transparent and list the availability of their APPs vs Docs, this practice does not list their NP profiles and falsely provides booking availability for the physician and patient ends up seeing NP.
Initial diagnosis and assessment should be made or at least confirmed by the Physician; ie Physician examines patient after APP to confirm diagnosis. Once diagnosis is confirmed and established, plan of care and follow-ups are perfectly fine with APPs.

Due to a very painful abscess under my left armpit, I booked and appointment with the doctor and drove 40 mins to get to the appointment. Upon arrival, was informed the doctor was not in and that I would be seen by the Nurse Practitioner. Having driven 40 mins to get there and being in excruciating pain, I decided to move ahead with the visit. After barely any analysis, I was prescribed antibiotics and sent on my way. The prescription would not be received by my pharmacy until the next day because the doctor (who I did not see) had to approve the prescription. 2 days later, not having materially improved, I checked into the hospital where they drained the abscess. I would have appreciated having been informed in advance of not being seen by the doctor before committing to the appointment and driving 40 mins in pain. I would have also appreciated the prescription having been sent expeditiously to the pharmacy to start the treatment. It was a sub par overall experience.

Such a positive experience! Gabby the NP performed a thorough skin cancer screening and ie problem areas. Very personable and professional. The physician was efficient and made removal of lesions easy a painless. Easy to schedule appointments at the Carrollwood office.

It was difficult to complete this survey as I did not see the physician I made the appointment with. The young woman I did see was pleasant and appeared knowledgeable, but was not a physician.

So I booked this appointment specifically to be seen by Dr. Summeet. I was however met with a nurse practitioner. I want to be clear, the practitioner was amazing! She was very informative and knowledgeable. However I picked Dr. Summeet based on how I thought he would be able to properly diagnose me based on my demographics. I was definitely surprised to see that I would not be meeting with him.

I originally booked because ZocDoc said they took 5:00pm appointments which was very convenient. Unfortunately it was a glitch but the office reached out & let me know. The staff was friendly & I was seen immediately. I don’t typically leave reviews but felt compelled to do so in this case ??

Highly recommended! I was seen right away, the doctor and assistant (in training) were both very professional and attentive. The procedure I needed was performed with utmost professionalism, and I felt I was in very capable hands the entire time. The office is clean, well lit, well staffed, and easily accessible. I will return to Indigo Dermatology Tampa any time I need care.

1st time patient. Quick check-in. Friendly staff. Great bedside manners. I've never been to a Dermatologist. I thought maybe I'd sound naive or waste their time. The doctor was very nice. He listened to my concerns and explained everything. I have a follow-up virtual visit which is a lot better for my work schedule. I see no reason to go anywhere else.

Finding the office was not easy. There are no clear directions or signs. My first visit lasted all but 10 mins at max. He barely listened to what I was trying to explain about my main issue when already was prescribing. Tried to tell him about other concerns I had but was told to make another appointment to discuss those another time. Eventually I just stopped talking and just agreed to whatever he was saying. I was waiting to see a dermatologist for so long to finally get answers on how to deal with my skin issues and left his office with 0 answers. Just prescription and see you next time.
