Dr. Kanther's private practice gives her the opportunity to work in true collaboration with her patients, not governed by treatment policies or insurance limitations, and to apply the profound, effective, and research validated theories of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). If the therapy experience is new to you, Dr. Kanther is open and transparent with her approach, so you will understand what is happening. Cognitive Behavior Therapy is intended to be a time limited model that addresses the problems of today as expressed through behavior, relationship patterns, thoughts, and feelings with an appreciation for and understanding of the past and an emphasis on moving forward. Dr. Kanther's hope is for her patients to internalize the CBT process such that they can apply the tools and insights beyond the therapy room, feel empowered, transformed, and become their own therapist.
