the gal I had was very sweet. I have a bit of Dr anxiety and she struck a conversation with me that calmed me quite a bit before she took vitals.

At first, I thought filling out all the information online and giving them the insurance information would make the office visit smoother and decrease wait time. But, despite spending time beforehand filling out everything prior to the visit and then getting to the visit 15 min early, I still wasn’t seen until 30 min after my appt for a general exam (no complaints- just a general wellness visit to establish a relationship). The office was quiet and I don’t think there were any other patients there so I was surprised by the wait in the patient exam room. I was looking for a new relationship with a doctor as I am new to town. Dr Choudhari and staff were friendly and professional. They seemed stumped on why I was there as I had no complaints. Medical staff should be encouraging patients to come in for routine checkups before there is a problem. Also, I asked about calling the office if I had a medical question or needed a prescription but they said I had to do so online. This isn’t this establishments issue, but whole medical field issue. The whole process strips the relationship away between the patient and the doctor until everyone is just information on a website. I’m hoping to continue my search and find a doctor that is more interested in how I am doing, recognizes I’m a person interested in improving my health, discusses my weight, exercise, etc in person and addresses what the patient can do to be optimally fit as well as an office I can call if I have questions instead of the computer. This visit made me feel like a checkbox to be marked “done” instead of a potential long term patient.

for my first visit, I thought the intake was extremely thorough as was Dr. Choudhari. We will follow up in 3 months and that should tell a better outcome.
