Manuel Ramirez has been a Physician Assistant for more than 20 years and brings a broad range of expertise. He earned his Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Emory University. His clinical experience includes internal medicine, gastroenterology, hepatology, and infectious disease. In addition to his clinical work, he led a disaster response team to earthquake-devastated Haiti and was a member of disaster response teams in Afghanistan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, and Mozambique.
Manuel is fluent in Spanish and English. In his time off, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, with a specific interest in wildlife-related travel. He is a proud father who is devoted to his young daughter.

Manuel ultimately did what I expected by prescribing medication for my condition, but the experience did not meet the expectations set by his high rating. He arrived the call 15 minutes late, despite multiple automated messages warning that I would be charged a $50 fee if I were late. Once the appointment began, he reviewed my health and family history, which was expected. However, when I explained the reason for the visit, the conversation shifted into unrelated questions about my employment and lengthy questionnaires, which felt disorganized for a first visit.
While I understand the need to build rapport, the flow of the appointment lacked cohesion. I was asked to repeat the reason for my visit, and there were several awkward silences that made it seem as though the session had stalled. It took approximately 30 minutes before he decided to prescribe the medication needed for my condition.

This guy is terrible, he jumped to conclusions on what he thought without even assessing me thoroughly. For example he kept saying I might be lactose intolerant based on my stomach pain but I had no dairy at all recently!

I didn’t feel good because it took too much time to get my history illness and spent a lot of time to get rid of his confusion and then he was supposed to call me back and let me know if he could make refills but he didn’t call me back.

Manuel was very responsive to my medical needs and assisted in scheduling future appointments for additional clarification on personal health issues. There were some connection issues when we started our call, but, once connected, the appointment went very well and concluded with medical needs met.
