What should a new client know about working with you?
I offer comprehensive support for clients who may be struggling with depression and/or anxiety, blending therapy and medication management. Our treatment plan may include CBT to reframe negative thoughts and medication to alleviate symptoms. Together, we'll work towards improved mood, enhanced coping skills, and a better quality of life.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In the first session, I will introduce Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) concepts, assess your goals, and identify maladaptive thought patterns. Throughout therapy, I employ CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring and behavioral interventions to challenge negative beliefs and promote positive change.

I cannot recommend Dr. Suzanne Chan enough. The perfect blend of professional and kind, Dr. Suzanne was very accommodating to my personal needs and situation (my mental history, financial situation, and even my personal struggles). When compared to some other professionals I've met, she took my concerns very seriously, and really made me and my needs feel like a top priority. While still giving informed, professional insight and solutions.
It was an absolute pleasure meeting with Dr. Suzanne, and I hope to continue receiving care from her in the future.

I was really hoping I’d get an actual analysis vs an immediate prescription. Very straight to the point, nice but not very personable. I was not looking for a therapist but feel like the questions I asked were just answered by google as I got nothing else other than a prescription. If you only want a prescription because you already have a diagnosis and understand side effects and everything else that comes with meds then I would think this option would work.

Life pro tip: if you're looking for a psychiatrist for mental medical stuff, get a nurse practitioner in the field instead. Suzanne took her time with me and made me feel really cared for. It was so easy to get an initial appointment and a rapid follow up. I just... I feel immensely grateful. Can whole-heartedly recommend.
