Dr. Suzanne Kersbergen is a great listener and extremely professional. It has not been easy since moving to Florida, 10 years ago to find a provider who seems to care about my well-being genuinely. The amount of time spent discussing my concerns was valued. I highly recommend Dr. Kersbergen.

My online account was accessible at first and then it became inaccessible. The company did return my call and reset my password. They could not answer ?any questions about my visit or what charges to expect. I had trouble connecting to the meeting with the doctor at first. Then when I did connect, there were issues. The call was dropped, and I had to re-reconnect. Once connected, the doctor was patient and ready to help. She was professional and proficient. I felt satisfied with the limited exam. However, I was charged for the wellness exam in full though it should have been covered by my insurance. Perhaps my insurance will reimburse the charges? I’m not sure, but I should not have been charged any more than a co-pay.?

What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
Family Medicine allows me to assist in offensive preventative medicine to ensure improved overall health and wellness, as well as defensive medicine when the patient is most in need. To be there for your fellow man in time of need is a calling.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
The primary care physician's initial responsibility to the patient is to assist with preventative medicine to avoid disease. The second responsibility is to utilize evidence-based medicine to ensure the right decisions for health and disease are performed using shared decision-making.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am a board-certified family physician and diplomat of obesity medicine. I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my internship in Family Medicine at Baylor Scott and White Health, followed by a residency in Family Medicine at Mercy Health. I have two children and love to attend their school events and extracurricular activities, which tend to keep me very busy.

Sent me about 30 emails and texts in 24 hours leading up to my appointment, truly bombarded me while I was at work all day to login and complete all their paperwork prior to my appointment. Doctor rushed through the appointment the entire time, was rude, talked over me multiple times, asked for doctors names and addresses but then didn’t give me time to locate them just moved through the appointment while I was searching for the information. The entire appointment was very chaotic and cut and dry and I left it feeling like I had just gotten off a runaway train. I barely had a chance to ask a single question or ask for clarification on anything. It felt like I was ruining this woman’s day by being her patient and having an appointment with her, she would obviously rather be anywhere else. I told them to cancel my prescriptions they called in as I don’t want to work with this doctor ever again and one of the prescriptions wasn’t even right. Please do not make the mistake I did!

I think the doctor herself was very kind and worked well. It has been a week since my prescription refill appointment and she still has yet to sent it to the pharmacy. This is not the way patients should be treated. I’m very upset with this whole situation as well as with her office and the circle medical team.

Late to appointment, not a huge deal. I appreciate it when clinicians take their time with patients. You sort of expect this with DOs anyway. My time with this provider felt rushed. She was overbearing at times and spoke over me on several occasions, which frustrated me. Ultimately, I felt she heard me and was happy with the visit, but would have liked her to slow down a bit and be less transactional. Not a good fit for me, but not a bad clinician overall.
