What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
When I was 13, I helped my grandmother change her colostomy bag. I knew then that helping others was a passion, and providing care and education for my patients is rewarding because I know I made a difference in someone's life.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
Primary care should screen patients for major health-related conditions and assess their mental state. If chronic medical problems exist, primary care can help manage them and improve patients' quality of life by identifying problems and making appropriate referrals.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to travel, read, and spend time with family.
I earned my Master's in Nursing from Ball State University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive care to my patients.
