She earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Southern Indiana, a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University, and a Post-Master Certificate, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from King University. Dr. Winzenburg is an Associate Professor of Nursing at King University in the graduate nursing program.
Dr. Winzenburg offers a supportive environment where patients feel safe, and their concerns are heard. She strives to evaluate patients with a holistic perspective, considering how biological, environmental, and psychological causes affect mental health. Dr. Winzenburg is committed to providing personalized treatment plans based on the unique needs of each patient and providing education on disorders and integrative treatment options to encourage shared decision making with patients. She is certified to treat all ages, but her passion is working with children, young adults, and college-age patients.
In her free time, Dr. Winzenburg enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, outdoor activities, including spending time in nature, boating, hiking, and gardening. She also enjoys baking, cooking, home decorating, DIY projects, drawing, painting, and photography.
