Patient reviews for Dr. Sydney Chen
Its was good
She’s personable, smart and very much interested in the continued care for her patients!
She’s a great doctor. She is very thorough and listens. I love the staff as well. Everyone was so helpful and so nice. I highly recommend her.
Good doctor, but they don't have the facility to draw blood samples, every tests have to be done through outside vendors like Quest. Also the wait is pretty long even if I had an appointment.
Every time i come here i have to wait so long for my appointment. If my appointment is at 1 i don’t go in till close to 2pm. Very unprofessional !
I was not satisfied, they do not do any bloodwork or testing at the office, you have to go to a lab, I did not feel comfortable, and could hear what was going on in other rooms. I wouldn't recommend it.
Very thorough professional and polite. Wait was long, but it’s a doctors office it’s to be expected.
Short wait time! The nurse was very kind and Dr Chen was helpful
I went for a annual physical and she was on point and help me to get all my papers done.
She is very thorough. She sits and listens to what you have to say and offers sound medical advice. The wait is a bit long but apparently its the norm on Staten Island.
Professional and humble!
Knowledgeable and answered questions patiently!
she did not request any blood work for me. Bedside manner was ok.
She is very thorough and tries to spend as much time as possible with her patients. She listens to what they have to say and offers recommendations based on their concerns.
Dr. Chen is always nice and helpful. She listens very well and has always recommended the right treatments for me. I have no complaints.
I love Dr Chen. She always listens to all my concerns and is very thorough. She is also very kind.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Chen’s for about 4 years, maybe even longer. For the entire time I’ve been on an inhaler. Every year I get a physical, do whatever she suggests, get a refill on my inhaler and that’s it. 60 days ago, I visited Ed her office for a physical, and forgot to ask for a refill on my inhaler. I had an attack today, and was out of medication. I called to have my prescription filled and they told me no problem. After an hour the pharmacist called back and the office then told her that they would not fill my prescription in because she wanted me to go in for another visit. After I was there only 60 days ago. I’m now sitting in an emergency room. I personally never had a problem with Dr. Chen, but I refuse to deal with a doctor who is too concerned about to Co-pay then to help a patient when they’re in need. I will NEVER go back there.
She was easy to talk understood my needs
Extremely friendly staff. Dr. Chen was professional and thorough, total sweetheart. Definitely recommend this office.
Appointment slots given every 15 minutes but most patients consultation take more than 30 minutes. That makes the waiting time to be an hour minimum.
She is a sweetheart. Listens and talks to you. Comes up with solutions. Think she's a keeper.
My 1st visit with her went well! She was very thorough and very nice!
Dr. Chen and her MA were absolutely delightful and pleasant. I had a late appointment and although it was around 8:15PM when i was seen, they took thier time, and it didnt feel rushed. Dr. Chen was very knowledgeable and showed she cared about the health concerns i had. I highly recommend her!!! this was my first visit, they performed an EKG and PFT breath test on me to see how my overal health was. NO other doctor has done that. Only upon request!
Dr. Chen is knowledgeable and very responsive.
Great doctor. Excellent bedside manner. Finally, a physican who listens and genuinely cares about her patients. Thanks.
I love Dr Chen. She is a great Doctor. She listens and goes over every detail of your test results. My family and even my friends are going to her. Her staff are just as nice.
Very good doctor but the receptionist is not that friendly
Office staff is very professional as well as Dr Chen.
Dr. Chen is consistently thoughtful and caring. We highly recommend her.
I have been with Dr. Chen for about 4 years she and her team are very thorough, polite, and welcoming! Her office is always full and yet I'm always seen in a timely manner.
dr Chen is an excellent dr she addressed my problem and made me feel confident about my recovery..
She is pleasant and thorough. The wait time is way too log. Also, I think she deals more with Geriatric Patients than younger adults.
She helped me with the problem I was having and was very efficient with fixing it
Dr. Chen is both thoughtful and caring. I am very happy that she is my doctor.
They were suppose to give me a heart monitor and were waiting to get equipment back. Never ever called me back. So to me, that’s patient negligence.
Very thorough and professional.
Dr. Chen was nice and professional, but I do not like that her office does not draw blood there. Instead I needed to make another trip to LabCorp and get my blood drawn. When the results came back, she expected me to make a trip back to her office. I asked if I could speak to her over the phone, but the receptionist told me she won't talk to me over the phone. I understand HIPAA laws and all, but she could have asked for verification over the phone. Unfortunately I will not be returning to her office.
Was contacted by staff that I can come 30 min early due to cancelled aappointmens. Ended up being seen 30 min later my originally scheduled time. ...
Dr Chen is very professional. She listens with great intelligence and compassion.
Immaculate office and courteous staff. Office hours are limited but they work with my schedule.
Very nice and really takes her time so you don't feel rushed, worth the wait since she'll take her time when it's your turn also.
She listened to my concerns & did an examination of what was bothering me. She asked questions & is sending me for tests which I what I hoped she would do. Overall a good experience.
The doctor was late for her first appointment they did not open until 9:15 although first appointment was at 9am. And then when I was waiting outside I left and came back and people who came in after me were seen first. But she is a great doctor though!
Pleasant and helpful.
Dr. Chen is very thorough and knowledgeable. The staff is very friendly.
