She earned her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska and holds bachelor's degrees from Howard University and the University of the District of Columbia. I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly we were able to get an appointment. My daughter and I recently moved from another state, and we were very pleased with the excellent care we received within just a few days of scheduling. Tamara and her staff were prompt, efficient, and made it easy for us to resume the level of dermatology care we were accustomed to. The office was very efficient and cordial, easy to get an appointment and was seen by a provider quickly. Patterson was very quick to assess my condition and did provide some solutions. I appreciated her explanation, but overall the appointment felt very rushed. I am hopeful that what was prescribed and the follow up aids my current skin concerns but, I was displeased to learn that I was prescribed some treatments with serious costs and side effects that were not disclaimed by my provider. Additionally, part of my visit was used as a lowkey sales pitch for their facial services, which sounded lovely but was not necessary during my appointment. Overall, was an okay experience and will most likely return for follow ups but not thrilled with the medical advice or conduct of my consult.

From the moment I walked in, the receptionist was friendly and efficient. She communicated next steps as this was my first visit. She immediately sent me a copy of my receipt for the day as we were mid conversation.
Once I was met by the medical tech/nurse, she was also warm and welcoming.
Both she and Dr. Patterson were very patient as they gave me options for my visit and we proceeded with a biopsy. Dr. Patterson was gentle and discussed every step as we went. The nurse was supportive when I began to feel faint and jumped right into action to ensure I was okay and safe before leaving the appointment room.
Overall, great experience and I look forward to getting results and answers soon enough!

Firstly, my appointment was canceled on the day of, with no option to reschedule until weeks later. I had an issue that came in flares. when my appointment arrived I was not in an active flare. I called several days before to check and see if I should reschedule and was assured by the receptionist that pictures would suffice and I could keep my appointment. When I arrived for my appointment I had to redo all of the paperwork and the front desk staff was extremely rude- even though I had filled out all of the paperwork prior to my appointment. When I finally saw the doctor after a long wait I was told that they couldn't do anything if I wasn't in a flare-up and asked that I reschedule. Then I tried to get my co-pay refunded as my issue was not resolved during my appointment and the office sent me to three different voicemails, never followed up on my complaint and I have still seen no resolution after 6+ weeks.

She is not a professional at all even her actions were not professional. She did not want to listen to anything. She just wanted to see and give you whatever medication. If she prescribed a medication, you were not allowed to ask questions she would get offended giving you these weird looks. ? not interested in coming to this office again. ?
