Dr. Tanya Rodgers is a dermatologist treating patients in the Allen, Dallas, and greater Texas areas. She operates out of Skin Specialists, where she takes great pleasure in treating patients of all ages and ethnicity. She also holds certification from the American Board of Dermatology and membership with professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, the Texas Medical Association, and the American Medical Association.
A native of Illinois, Dr. Rodgers attended Northwestern University, Chicago for her undergraduate degree. She pursued her medical degree at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. At the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, she completed a residency program.
During her residency program, Dr. Rodgers was an integral part of the Multicultural Skin of Color Clinic. Here, she received specialized training in and pursued the study of the unique skin care needs of those with skin of color, including African-American, Asian, Latino, and Middle-Eastern patients. She has published work in a dermatology textbook and peer-reviewed journals.
