Dr. Whitney Gao practices medical and cosmetic dermatology and is committed to providing excellent and comprehensive dermatologic patient care. Dr. Gao attended Harvard University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree and earned membership to the esteemed Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She then received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her medical internship at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, and then returned to Dallas to complete her dermatology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Gao emphasizes personalized dermatologic patient care, and she is honored to serve the DFW community. She treats a wide range of dermatologic issues such as skin cancer surveillance, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and other medical dermatologic concerns. Dr. Gao also has an interest in cosmetic dermatology, and brings experience with neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport), injectable fillers, various lasers, and chemical peels.
