Teresa Boland is a Fellow of Functional & Integrative Psychiatry and a Fellow of Anti-Aging/Regenerative Medicine. She also holds a certification in Addiction. Teresa is a Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Bachelor's in Nursing from the State University of New York, Binghamton, and completed her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. In addition, she holds a certification in Sports Nutrition as well as a diploma for Dietary Supplement Counselor (Dip. DSC). Teresa is certified in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and as a Trauma and Loss Specialist and Consultant. She has also held certification as a Bereavement Facilitator and as a certified Supreme Court Family Mediator. Her current professional duties include providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies and lab tests, prescribing medications and treatments, as well as non-pharmacological therapies. Teresa prescribes bio-identical hormones alongside psychiatric medications. In her practice, she utilizes the most efficacious pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, amino acids, and vitamins to restore function and optimal health for her patients. She emphasizes patient education and encourages patients to become active partners in their treatment. Teresa's personal initiatives in recent years have included completing two medical mission trips to Haiti and volunteer army duty in Israel with the Israeli Defense Force. Maintaining physical fitness is important to her; she enjoys martial arts and has trained in Haganah (Israeli Krav Maga and Hand-to-Hand Combat) and Muay Thai for six years. She also co-hosted a monthly radio show for a year and a half focused on medical and therapy issues. Most recently, she was on the panel of hosts for a radio show and a pilot TV presentation called Life Matterz.
