Getting to know Theresa Levy
Hello there, mental health is my passion, and I provide medication management with therapeutic approaches for a wide variety of conditions such as anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. I have been in practice for several years and have treated patients from all walks of life and personal experiences. I believe in meeting the patient where they are at the moment and what they are comfortable with in terms of treatment. I offer a warm, safe, nonjudgmental and direct approach with my patients and applying the most holistic of approaches, encourage open discussion of what we can accomplish together.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I am warm, direct, open and honest with my patients. I believe in meeting the patient where there are so we can achieve wellness from a place of non-judgement and compassion. Let's work together I look forward to meeting with you.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Typically, we would have an initial evaluation where you share what your goals are and past experiences with providers/therapists. I will share with you my suggestions and solutions that will work best for your unique situation. We will always have dialogue as well as much as the patient is comfortable doing so.

I love Dr. Levy, I've worked with her for about 2 years and she has been really wonderful. I was super skeptical about finally dealing with my anxiety, it made me anxious to make the appointment!
Dr. Levy is so kind and patience. If I am honest I am a touch dramatic and she was able to ride the wave of all my feelings lol.
She is they only person I feel comfortable working with when it comes to my anxiety. She is very informative and knowledgeable. 10 out of 10

she was extremely kind and tried to convince me one day things could be better. she was patient and listened and gave me a follow up.
i felt pretty much down and without hope.
she convinced me to try.

Theresa was kind and compassionate. I felt like she was quick to diagnose after a somewhat brief intake and then also prescribe a few medications. I’m open to medication but ultimately decided to go a different direction.

She was so great. I am so excited to have her as my doctor for my mental health. I’ve struggled to find a good fit doctor for my mental health and I have no doubt she is the perfect fit for me. She was so knowledgeable. I always feel like I’m a “one of a kind” case with other doctors and she assured me it’s not just me who feels like this, and is going through what I have.

I met with her twice and both times, she was incredibly dismissive of my eating disorder, making the comment “so you’d rather experience the symptoms of your mental illness than gain weight?” (not how EDs work), implying that I was being vain when I told her I wasn’t able to take any meds that had the potential side effect of weight gain (this makes my ED so severe that it becomes completely unmanageable and I’m no longer able to eat). She continued to push meds with the side effect of weight gain, telling me I “probably wouldn’t gain weight anyway” (which again, was not the point) and prescribed me two different meds which I have just learned DO have the side effect of weight gain (she told me this wasn’t the case.) Now I am unable to take the meds she has prescribed, my ED and body dysmorphia are incredibly severe and unmanageable, and I absolutely do not feel comfortable meeting with her again to try and find a new medication. Made things significantly worse than before I saw her.
