The doctor was great. My husband was in a lot of pain and he took him in right away even though there was a whole waiting room full and got him set up for a procedure for tomorrow. The office staff girls aren’t that great but the doctor himself is great. If you are in urgent need of a GI, go see Dr Gould.

I really enjoyed my experience. The staff and doctor were very friendly. Dr. Gould's office offered warm nostalgia. There is a slight gruff exterior with a very caring and knowledgeable interior. If you are looking for a cold high tech sterile environment, this is NOT the place. Manhattan Gastroenterology is your neighborhood family specialist, and I wish more doctors offices were like it.

I was very pleased with my visit. I was treated by Dr. Gould's daughter who was a delight. She is very advanced in her pregnancy and will probably be out for at least 3 month's. When she returns, I would like he to be seen by her upon her return, but in the meantime, I'll be very happy to see Dr. Gould himself.

Melanie Thomas, the medical practitioner and Dr.Thomas are highly knowledgeable and take their time in listening to your concerns, as well as ensuring that your needs are met, before you leave. The staff is also very quick to submit prescriptions to your pharmacy.
My only complaint is about pre-certification. I provided my insurance info. at the time of booking and called 2 hours ahead, to confirm my insurance was accepted. Despite that, After waiting 30 minutes to be addressed, I had to wait another hour to be seen, because the office assistant claimed my insurance was inactive (it wasn’t). There is definitely room for improvement in this area, to ensure their systems are not streamlined at the front end. Overall, the administrative staff was pleasant and the medical staff was very professional and had great bedside manner.

Amazing staff and doctor. I had to get a colonoscopy. They took the time to explain everything. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bedside manner was best I've had! After the procedure the doctor was full of jokes and made me laugh quite a bit. Honestly one of the best experiences I've had with a doctor.

I waited over two hours to see the doctor and he spoke with me for less than five minutes. He listened to my breathing, looked at the computer screen of my symptoms I'd told the nurse and prescribed me a ton of pills and told me I would have to come back for two procedures, one of which involved sedation (which he only told me after I pushed him to explain what the procedure was and why I needed it). I was very dissatisfied with the level of care I received and do not plan on going back.

It was great! It was a short consultation. They brought up some things I didn't think of like I may have a different issue than I thought. A follow up with an endoscopy will take place to get more clarity. Very helpful overall
