About Dr. Thomas Mcnally
Dr. Thomas A. McNally is a board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeon serving patients in the Chicago area, with offices in Elk Grove Village and Chicago. He holds the distinction of being the first orthopedic spine surgeon in Illinois to perform ultra-minimally invasive pars stress fracture (spondylolysis) repairs using advanced Arthrex techniques, delivering superior patient outcomes and a safer, faster return to peak activity. Dr. McNally completed his undergraduate education at Dartmouth College and earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed both his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals, followed by dual fellowship training in orthopaedic spine surgery at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, including Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Dr. McNally is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Scoliosis Research Society, and the North American Spine Society.
He specializes in both non-operative and operative care of the spine, with a focus on minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques. His areas of expertise include disc herniations, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, kyphosis, spondylolisthesis, cervical spine conditions, thoracolumbar spine conditions, and pediatric and adult spine surgery. Dr. McNally is also experienced in endoscopic ultra-minimally invasive spine procedures and SI joint treatment.

Dr. McNally is amazing. I've been dealing with chronic hip and back pain and my primary care has been useless. They didn't remember anything, didn't listen, didn't care. Dr. McNally immediately took action, gave me a plan and made me feel seen.
