About Dr. Trung Nguyen

Dr. Trung Nguyen, MD is a Board-Certified Family Practice Physician. He practices in our Richardson office next to UTD. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, and received his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Roseau, Dominica. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Iowa in Mason City. Dr. Nguyen has extensive experience in various medical settings, including hospitals, clinics, urgent care centers, nursing homes, and home health care. He also served as a Medical Director for Heart to Heart Hospice. He practices the full spectrum of family medicine, providing both preventative and chronic care. His expertise includes weight loss, diabetes management, heart disease, chronic kidney disease, cholesterol management, osteoporosis, COPD, and asthma. Dr. Nguyen also performs a variety of office procedures, including dermatologic procedures, joint injections, and trigger point injections. From simple problems such as infections and muscle strains, to complex medical problems such as heart disease and diabetes, we are here to serve the full medical needs of our patients. Our patients are provided with comprehensive, confidential and compassionate medical services. Dr. Nguyen has a special interest in Botox injections for chronic migraine headaches, an FDA-approved therapy that has proven to be one of the best treatments for this debilitating condition. Additionally, he is an expert in natural bio-identical hormone replacement, including testosterone and estrogen, and has optimized hormone therapy for thousands of patients over the past decade. Before attending medical school, Dr. Nguyen was an artist and professional photographer. He enjoys various sports such as tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, snowboarding, and swimming. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and two sons and enjoys playing the guitar, piano, and flute.
