He specializes in providing comprehensive primary care, osteopathic manipulative technique (OMT), and medical acupuncture, focusing on conditions such as chronic Hepatitis C, and performing joint injections and skin lesion cryotherapy and biopsies. Dr. Elam graduated from the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014, and completed his family medicine residency program at East Tennessee State University in Bristol, TN, where he served as Chief Resident from 2016-2017. He values building lasting relationships with his patients, walking through vulnerable life moments with them, celebrating victories, and offering support during difficult times. His philosophy regarding patient care centers on the belief that a patient is a cohesive unit of mind, body, and spirit, and he strives to address all three components to bring healing and health, placing high value on wellness and health maintenance while being conservative with medication utilization.
