About Dr. Tyler Miranda
The desire to help others is what put Dr. Miranda on the path to a career in podiatry. As such, he takes great satisfaction in empowering his patients by educating them on how to manage their conditions so that they can achieve optimum health.
In 2008, Dr. Miranda received a bachelor's degree in Biology from Binghamton University. Following graduation, he went on to pursue his medical training at Manhattan's New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM), during which time he served as a tutor in lower extremity anatomy and also participated in a class education committee on the same subject.
After earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from NYCPM in 2012, Dr. Miranda started a three-year podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center (KJMC) in Brooklyn, New York, which encompassed comprehensive training in both forefoot and rearfoot procedures. As a result of his outstanding performance at Kingsbrook, Dr. Miranda was selected to serve as chief resident for a one-year term beginning in 2014. This same year, he worked on implementing a new patient education program.
While becoming board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine Dr. Miranda worked in Brooklyn treating the entire spectrum of foot pathology. In 2016 he was brought on to be the Associate Program Director for the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency At Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.
He joined Advanced Podiatry in the summer of 2019 where he brought his commitment to patient care and patient education. Dr. Miranda works diligently with every patient to ensure they have the information needed to make educated decisions for their foot and overall health. Dr. Miranda is a fantastic doctor! He takes the time with each patient to understand what your concerns are and then explains his treatment plan and what the issue is. He showed me on an Xray and ultrasound exactly what was wrong with my foot and what I needed to do.
Even with being not the most compliant patient, he made a treatment plan I could follow.
I highly recommend him!

Dr. Miranda was very helpful. He listened to all my issues with my foot, took his time, examined my toe and stance to make sure he was accessing things correctly. He also didn’t push for treatments, but rather recommended how I could treat things at home before recommending therapy. I have already recommended him for a family to go see.

Dr. Miranda and his assistant were very thorough, patient, and kind during my visit. While assessing my ankle, he was very gentle and took the time to explain what was happening from a medical lens. Friendly office staff, took my info & got me checked in right away. I only had to wait for 10 minutes. My appointment then started with xrays, followed by the Doctor coming to examine me, who then ordered additional xrays after i described my pain. She was able to pinpoint exactly what my issue was, gave me an injection to help calm the inflamed part of my foot, and gave me a flexible ice pack to keep. I told them I had issues with needles so she kindly offered me water and had a PA hold my leg down. Doctor also offered custom-made orthotics to help long-term with my pain.

Dr. Miranda was excellent and put patient care above whether insurance would cover a procedure. He literally said "If insurance doesn't cover this, call me and I will write it off, I won't have you walking around in pain." Excellent all around and completely understood my issue and educated me about it. I highly recommend Dr. Miranda and his staff.
The only "issue" was that I signed up online for a 9:30 appt, and the docs office called saying that wasnt available but they'd do the best they can. I came in around that time anyway and was out the door by 10:15, they really made sure I didn't wait long. And they were incredibly gracious about it.
