Ulas Camsari, M.D. (Dr. C) is a quadruple boarded psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in the field. He earned his medical degree from Ege Üniversitesi Tip Fakültesi and completed his psychiatry training at Cleveland Clinic. He further specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the University of Maryland.
He holds board certifications in four areas of psychiatry: General Adult Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Camsari has extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating complex psychiatric disorders, as well as providing expert psychopharmacological management. He also has a strong background in academic psychiatry, having served as a faculty member and assistant professor at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine for six years. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles on topics related to neuroscience, neurophysiology, addictive disorders, and clinical psychiatry.

I’ve spent years trying to find a good psychiatrist but never succeeded. Some didn’t accept my insurance, others were rude, some couldn’t address my concerns, and a few tried prescribing strong medications that made me uncomfortable. Because of all this, I never started treatment.
I decided to give Dr. Ulas Camsari a try after reading his amazing reviews, and I can confidently say he’s the best. He truly listened, was incredibly attentive, and showed great patience in understanding my situation. He answered all my questions thoroughly and made me feel comfortable enough to finally start treatment.

I am in need of a medication adjustment for depression. Dr Camsari was kind, patient and very thorough with his questions.
He also took the time to explain his medical reasoning for his recommendations for me.
I was especially pleased that he also is holistic in his approach. As I do take medication for another medical condition, he will try to coordinate with my other specialist to consider a drug that is therapeutic for my other condition and my depression.
I appreciate when medical personnel recognize the importance of minimizing the types and numbers of medications a person is given.
Rather than making a quick change, Dr Casmari is changing one medication to a different form. He is also having me go down slightly on a second medication. We will meet again in a few weeks to assess that change.
When our session ended, I felt heard, confident in Dr. Casmari, and relieved that he will be working with me to adjust my medication regimen.

I have been to a lot of Drs and I have always felt indifferent towards the process. But im extremely happy I found him. He was extremely nice and very easy to talk to. He took his time with me and presented me with my options. The first time a Dr ever asked me how I felt about my course of treatment. Dr. Camsari is by far the best doctor I have ever seen in my entire life and I am 70 years old and have been treated for depression/anxiety since I was 18. I have been seeing Dr. C for over a year and I can honestly say that I am doing the best I have ever been in my whole life. And that speaks volumes. He is so knowledgeable in his field and it doesn't take long to realize that he really cares about his patients . He wants to follow up soon with you whenever he changes your medication dosage, something I've never had any other psychiatrist care about. As a patient, I believe it is very important that a psychiatrist follow up with you because a depressed person has a tendency to just continue on with a med even if it's not working. Dr. C cares so much and I thank God for him because he has helped me so much in such a short time. Like I said, even though depression is a lifelong illness, he has made my life so much better and has made my life more manageable. He really listens!
