Vagmin Vora, a native of Bombay, India, is an alumnus of Topiwala National Medical College – Bombay University, where he received his medical degree and of Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals – Bombay University where he completed his orthopedic surgery residency. His fellowships include: one in spine and scoliosis surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Weil Medical College Cornell University in New York, NY and the other in pediatric orthopedics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and at Medical Centre in Ohio. Dr. Vora has been a practicing spine surgeon since 2004 in India and in various locations in the U.S. He served as an attending spine surgeon at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and as an assistant professor of orthopedics at Penn State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. He was most recently in private practice in York, PA and Oxon Hill, MD. Dr. Vora is licensed to practice in several states, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, New York, New Jersey and Maryland as well as the District of Columbia.

Dr. Vora never even looked at me. He never examined me ever in the whole 2 years of my visits. I feel very uncomfortable with his care. I’m changing my doctor for next visit.

Since it was my first consultation with him, there were basic instructions he made of me to evaluate level and origin of my pain/discomfort. Recommended an MRI. Will be back to see him in 6 weeks after physical therapy.

I originally booked a 3:45pm appointment on ZocDoc that they confirmed, just for them to call me back and say he's not in the office during that time and changed my appointment to 2pm. After I cancelled my plans to come all the way on the other side of Brooklyn to be there at their preferred time, I waited over 2 hours just to be seen even later than the original time I planned to see him. Turns out he WAS in the office. The woman the doctor sent me to for my back x-rays was amazing, however I realize she is not a part of Dr. Vora's office, just next door. Also, when I was finally seen, a woman- possibly the physicians assistant came in, asked me the same exact questions on the long forms I filled out (that I could have sworn I completed on ZocDoc and sent to the office the day before) without greeting me first. Not a hello, not anything. The doctor didn't ask many questions and didn't seem very thorough and was in a rush and wasn't very attentive. He was quick to write in his notes that "patient was satisfied with the service/diagnosis" but never asked me if I had any further questions or if indeed I was satisfied or not. I still have yet to get my question answered. I'll just have to go to another doctor. I traveled far to see him and this visit was NOT worth it.
