About Valerie Richey
Valerie has been dedicated to serving her community in The Woodlands, TX, for the past 9 years. From a young age, she felt a calling to care for others, and the nursing profession was the perfect path for her. Valerie began her career in 2016 as an Emergency Department Nurse at St. Luke’s The Woodlands. She later gained experience in both trauma and community hospitals. Over the last 3 years, she has enjoyed working as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, furthering her commitment to patient care and women’s health.
Throughout her nursing journey, Valerie developed a strong interest in preventative family medicine, which led her to pursue a Master’s in Nursing Science at UTHealth Houston (The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston), completed in May 2024. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she has enjoyed supporting patients in all aspects of gynecological care, wellness, and hormone optimization.
Valerie has a particular passion for hormone replacement therapy, working to help both women and men feel their best and achieve optimal health. She is committed to applying the most effective approaches to improve health outcomes for her patients.
Outside of her professional life, Valerie resides in Montgomery, TX, with her husband and two young children. Being a mother brings her immense joy, and she cherishes the time spent with her family.

I was really pleased with my appointment experience other than having to complete the paperwork in the office which I had completed prior to the appointment. I don't understand why the paperwork wasn't just printed off from the email and ready when I arrived.

Great care! My doctor listened to all my complaints and even gave me advice of more natural options for some of my symptoms. She took the time to be sure I was completely comfortable and communicated every step of my exam for me. While I had a low chance of a serious problem she still cared enough to send me for ultrasound so we would be 100% sure! I really appreciated her and the entire visit. I can’t say enough good things about her. Thanks for all your patience and care.

The office canceled my appt while sending me a reminder to come 15 minutes early.
When I arrived they told me my appt had been cancelled and stated they had connected me….no no no. They had not. But had told me to arrive early. Very frustrating and unprofessional…not recommended to anyone….

Valerie was amazing! So attentive and answered all of my questions. I was a bit nervous because PCOS isn’t always take as seriously as other conditions. Valerie melted all that first-timer anxiety away. She made me feel like my health was in my control and gave me so many options. such a great listener. It’s hard to find a good provider who is informed (PCOS) and CARES. Valerie cares!
