Overall, my approach reflects a deep understanding of the importance of patient involvement and emotional safety in the healing process, which leads to better outcomes and a more positive experience for those I care for. Clients leave with a sense of partnership that not only enhances their comfort but also fosters trust and security. In a nutshell, clients generally feel heard and understood, comforted, empowered, hopeful, supported, informed, valued, safe, and collaborative. These feelings grow progressively with every visit. Creating this positive experience can significantly impact clients' willingness to continue treatment and engage fully in their mental health journey.

She was terrible—terrible bedside manner. Half her face was showing in the camera the entire time. No questions about me that weren't from her script, didn't ask any follow-up questions, showed no emotion the entire visit. I told her my sister passed away, and she didn't even skip a beat to ask the next question on her sheet without acknowledging anything I said. I can't believe she has all these great reviews. Pick anyone else.

Terrible listener. Did not help at all and only insisted in reading off her pre-determined script. If I wanted help from a robot I would’ve asked ChatGPT. Would not recommend.

I left my appointment feeling discouraged and unheard. The evaluation felt rushed from the start, and her demeanor came across as apathetic. Once I mentioned my previous bipolar diagnosis, the tone of the entire visit shifted. Instead of continuing to explore my ADHD symptoms, she immediately redirected the conversation toward emotional issues, dismissing the executive-function struggles I clearly described. ADHD and bipolar can overlap, but part of a psychiatrist’s role is to help patients sort through that complexity — not shut down the discussion. Rather than taking the time to differentiate between the two, she simply stated that she couldn’t distinguish them and suggested I get reevaluated elsewhere. Her approach lacked the curiosity, compassion, and thoroughness that patients deserve when seeking clarity about their mental health.

Dr. Fotendong was professional, attentive, and kind during my initial appointment with them today. I was very satisfied with the level of care they provided. They took the time to discuss my medical history, explained everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable during the visit. I have already booked another appointment with Dr. Fotendong, and would definitely recommend them.
Listened to my needs! Didn’t make me feel unwanted or like she didn’t care. She defiantly takes her time and cares about her patients!!

    Very patient and understanding
Doctor seems to accommodate your time and offer flexibilities for meeting time. However, their temper is unpredictable and unprofessional. For example, they texted my phone number first, and then I was following up with a prior question, which is appropriate in the context. They were mad and said I texted too much on a holiday, even though their schedule was open for a same-day appointment on this holiday. It wasn’t after 5:00 pm or anything.

Love Dr. Valmy! She is incredibly professional and on the initial consultation she spent an hour going through everything with me which unfortunately, these days is rare. She listened to all my concerns and together we came up with a plan for my treatment. I'm excited to continue working with her and would recommend her to anyone needing mental health care.

Loved the visit . Very patient and understanding
Her bedside manner is horrid. She's cold, and her manner of inquiry was unfavorable. She pressured me to transition off of ZocDoc and onto a private application immediately before we'd even determined fit. I did not enjoy working with her. I should have opted to see another provider immediately after I realized I disliked her (our first interaction prior to the appointment, in which she asked me questions without tact or humanity). She forced me to redo my in-take question because she pressured me to get off the platform. In the end, I had to abruptly quit my psychiatric medication because she refused to fill my prescription and offered no advice on how to safely transition off, despite the fact that I told her I was running out. She stopped replying. So dangerous. I don't know if it's because she's only a nurse practitioner or what. Choose another provider.

Not only punctual, but also professional , knowledgeable and kind . She is excellent with both adults and children . She treated my 8 year old daughter so I have to work with her in conjunction with my daughter and the entire process has been seamless. I would highly recommend receiving care from this provider !

    Exceptional Thankyou , very. Attentive
Dr. Valmy was highly attentive and empathic. What I liked best is we worked to together to come up with my best health care decision. She understands my goals and needs, and within that context I now understand the pros and cons of my options. I felt we made the best choices today. Thank you Dr. Valmy!!!!
