Dr. Wowk is awesome and took a lot of time. I trust his medical opinion and it is aligns with what previous doctors have recommended - just that he is not pushing surgery and tries a more balanced approach.
But I don't trust the front desk staff! They are horrible and lied to me in two occasions.

Dr. Wowk is very personable and no BS. He gets to the point, clearly explains the treatment, and clearly explains the next steps. I look forward to my follow-up appointment. I was very surprised that as a new patient that it did not take several weeks to get an appointment. The staff is friendly, the facility is well maintained and the parking outside and seating inside are ample. I don't like doctors' offices but I enjoyed my visit here.

Dr. Victor Wowk is a long-standing member of the orthopaedic community, and has been sharing space with us for 4 years. He has recently joined our group as a partner.Dr. Wowk received his BS and MPH degrees from the University of Minnesota and earned his MD degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He received his orthopaedic training at the University of Maryland, which included training at Shock Trauma. Dr. Wowk then completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship with Dr. Torg at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Wowk has treated professional, collegiate, high school, and recreational athletes and he has been team physician for professional collegiate and high school teams. He has taken orthopaedic trauma calls at Suburban Hospital for the past ten years. Dr. Wowk has a special interest in disorders of the knee and their surgical and non-surgical management.

Dr. Wowk doesn't listen. He talks over you. He doesn't pay attention to what you're saying about how you're feeling. He seems to think anyone, no matter the reason, who is on narcotic pain medication, is a pill seeker. Not that he said it, but his attitude speaks for itself. He did a good job on my leg surgery but other than that, not so good @ bedside manner.

Was taken quickly. Triage nurse quick and efficient. X-ray quick and good. Long wait to then see doctor. Office failed to call prescription into pharmacy !! Ugh.
