I'm Victoria Lanzara, PMHNP, and I see adolescents and adults specializing in mood disorders, anxiety disorders/stress, and PTSD/trauma. I use both medication management and psychotherapy, either together or separately depending on the client's preference. Please note that while I’m here to support your mental health needs, I do not prescribe controlled substances.
I earned my Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Stony Brook University. I’m part of Resolute, a practice offering high-quality, insurance-covered therapy and psychiatry, with comprehensive support to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for our clients. What should a new client know about working with you?
Mental health is a critical but often overlooked aspect of overall wellness. In today’s fast-paced world, self-care is frequently deprioritized. I work with clients on an individualized level, helping them achieve their wellness goals. I believe in resilience and holistic care, incorporating psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, and medication when necessary. My primary areas of focus include mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and sleep issues.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
A successful treatment session involves collaboration on treatment goals from both sides and the client feels assured of treatment plan and goals. This includes have understanding of plan and feeling comfortable voicing questions or concerns. I discuss treatment plans and anticipated outcomes of treatment (results of medication, goals with issues discussed in psychotherapy). The plan and what I do will vary based on the client but can include processing thoughts/feelings, working through CBT, ACT, CPT for symptoms depression, anxiety, trauma, sleep disorders. I evaluate progress on treatment plans and outcomes at every visit.

Awful experience. Intake texted me that my appointment was not available due to the doctor's schedule (Then why you put this vacancy online?) and give me another choice--meeting another professional at 6pm Sat. After letting them know I was not available then, the second offer they gave is next Fri...(Why do they think I could wait that long for refill?)
