Dr. Battu is great. I’ve had issues with recurring styes and he was able to give me a proper explanation as to what the cause was and how to correct the problem. He is the 3rd dr I am seeing about this issue but the first to address it correctly.

Staff was nice enough. Doctor was direct, but bordered on being curt.
They seemed extremely busy and were definitely behind on their exams, as I waited quite some time for my appointment and the people who were there before be seemed to be experiencing the same thing.
Overall, I think any small issues I experienced in terms of treatment were likely from them being behind on seeing patients and trying to get through everyone quickly. That being said, the office staff did seem a bit unorganized and uncoordinated when it came to processing people and paperwork.
My personal experience was overall okay, but what I saw happening with all the other patients in my time the is what shaped my overall opinion.

Excellent, compassionate doctor and supremely talented and kind assistant (Mei? I think is her name?). They were great.

I had to wait 45 minutes to be seen. On top of that, I only spent 5 minutes with him.

The waiting room was had more than 4 people waiting. There was no social distancing in the waiting room. My appointment was 1.5 for a eye exam. They definitely overbook the appointments! They did not clean the exam seat after each patient. The doctor wore his face covering below his mouth. The doctor did not have on gloves during my exam and he touched my face. He did not was his hands before the exam. This is my first and only time visiting this office. Covid 19 is still being transferred and the lack of precautions taking by this office is scary.

Never gave me instructions on how to log into my video appointment. Even though i called multiple times to ask — I was put on hold for about an hour two separate times before my appointment. When I finally got on the line with the doctor, I could right away feel *through the video chat* that he was angry and frustrated.
Doctor held finger over the camera so I couldn’t see him or I could only see a small part of his hair or head or side of his face during my virtual appointment. I couldn’t see his face. It was intentional.
He said that he “had to go so hurry up” twice during my appointment. Which was no longer than four minutes.
Doctor called in a prescription for a stye, but then immediately said that he hates that medication and it rarely works.
Doctor said next steps would be to come in for a surgery to drain the stye. I said something along the lines of, “eek! scary...” I was trying to lighten the mood a bit after he was extremely rude and unprofessional. He responded, “psh, it’s not that big of a deal” in an incredibly insulting tone.
When we hung up from our video chat, I honestly thought I had just been catfished and that this was some sort of sick joke.
I would highly discourage anyone from making an appointment with Dr. Battu.

Dr Battu was great and very professional. However the office staff was very unprofessional. The paperwork took 30 minutes to 'process' and therefore i was forced to remain in the waiting room - in the middle of a pandemic - while the paperwork was manually entered into the system. I had to write my insurance info on a separate piece of paper despite their scanning it. I had to write my credit card down despite having it swiped. Nothing could be done online in advance. The front desk staff frequently got up to use the bathroom or do something else while i waited for her 'to process' the paperwork 30 minutes after my appt time. In summation, I liked Dr Battu but the lack of modern technology to ensure that things move smoothly is enough to have me look elsewhere.

Wait time was too long but the office was pretty crowded and there’s only a small support staff.
Dr. Battu was polite and knowledgeable but I couldn’t help but feel rushed. I don’t think it’s as much a reflection on Dr. Battu as it is on the entire healthcare industry.
I would have liked more time to talk to Dr. Battu about my concerns without feeling like an inconvenience.

Gruff treatment. Did not help me diagnose my eye issue. Asked me to take out my contacts without washing my hands or using hand sanitizer, which was shocking. Dilated my eyes without asking me-- also shocking. Will not return.
October 9, 2019Initials hidden
I have sensitive eyes that can't handle repeated bright flashing lights (directly in my eye), which are obviously necessary when getting your eyes examined. Dr. Battu made me feel like I was personally at fault for this, and was really insensitive in handling it. We struggled to get dilation drops in my eyes (again, due to sensitivity), and he was very impatient and even a bit rude about it. In contrast, I recently had a very successful appointment at another practice that was able to handle the same sensitivities with grace and without making me feel like I was a burden, annoyance, or a problem. His bedside manner, therefore, leaves something to be desired. I do not recommend this doctor.

Dr. Vijay was extremely knowledgeable, a bit impatient but I guess that happens when you’re behind schedule. Management should work on better scheduling... the wait is somewhat too long. Overall., my visits was extremely good and I would definitely recommend Dr. Vijay.

The wait was extremely long. I am an avid zoc doc user and I find that the ratings are usually representative of the service received, however I would not say so with this doctor. I waited 40 minutes to be seen regardless of the fact that I had submitted all of my forms and paperwork to the office ahead of time. Once seen the doctor had very curt bedside manner, was physically rough and kept trying to diagnose things I had not come in for. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Very great office with a very great atmosphere. The doctor is very talented, friendly, and professional. The technician was not the friendliest but not necessarily rude. Receptionist was very accommodating. The only issue is time; it seems appointments may be overbooked and there is a long wait in the office. I may have had to wait longer due to being a new consult but I know others in the office were waiting long as well (the doctor arrived late). Overall I would recommend this practice but would suggest setting aside a decent amount of time.
August 6, 2015Initials hidden
Would not recommend at all. The receptionist and administrative staff are very rude and incompetent. It took them several days to do a simple request: e.g. Sending me an email to order contact lens online, and sending me an itemized receipt via fax, etc. Also, they fail to mention that you are forced to order contact lens through their online store, as they will charge you a separate prescription fee if you order anywhere else. Of course their online prices are also higher. Doctor himself was mediocre at best, but I would not recommend this office if all you need is a routine eye exam.

I was not happy with my visit to Dr. Battu - I went for a simple eye exam and indicated that I was looking for a new prescription for my glasses. He performed several tests on my eyes including a glaucoma test, but at the end of the appointment when I asked for my new prescription, he 1. indicated that he sold glasses and I should just get them through him, then 2. informed me that I need to come back in 2 weeks because he couldn't provide me with a prescription because my eyes were still dilated!!!! I have never had to "come back" to an eye doctor before (normally they do it all in one visit) and am incredibly annoyed by this especially since at the beginning of my appointment, he pointed out that my insurance doesn't cover the eye exams!

The wait was so long with so many people waiting to see him. The secretary was nice, but she was hidden in a little office. When I walked in, I didn't know where the sign in sheet was or where I was suppose to go. No one said hello or guided me to fill out paper work or anything. I had to go find out myself and by then, some other patients cut me in line. The office was run down, but he did tell me they were moving to a new location next month.

The wait time at Battu's office was absolutely unacceptable. I had an 8:30 AM appointment and he sauntered into the office at 9:30. Granted, I realize that emergencies come up and he was likely dealing with a patient or medical matter--but his staff kept telling me five more minutes, five more minutes, he'll be right here, etc. He seems like a competent doctor but I avoid doctors who don't respect their patient's time.
