About Dr. Vu Nguyen
Dr. Nguyen is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician who graduated from National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) in Lombard, Illinois where he earned his second Bachelor's Degree in Human Biology and his Doctorate of Chiropractic. While at NUHS Dr. Nguyen was fortunate enough to work alongside some of the most knowledgeable and esteemed doctors in the field. Before his Doctorate, he earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago/Champagne. Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 Certified health care professional.
While earning his Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Nguyen was an assistant to Dr. James Jedlicka -Associate Professor, Chiropractic Practice. The knowledge of flexion-distraction that he learned from Dr. Jedlicka allowed him to broaden his approach to health care when treating patients. During his internship at NUHS, Dr Nguyen was able to enhance his acupuncture skill with the direction of Dr. Yihyun Kwon, Assistant Dean who is in charge of National's Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree programs at NUHS.
In addition, Dr. Nguyen is an Acupuncture Certified which is bestowed by the NUHS. Other certifications include Cox Flexion-Distraction technique. He is also a member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and Virginia Chiropractic Society (VCA).

Dr Nguyen was AMAZING! I’ve had shoulder issues for YEARS. Been to MULTIPLE chiropractors, orthopedic docs and no one could really treat the pain only managed it. Dr. Nguyen heard my issues performed some acupuncture and massage and eliminated 60% of my pain on the first visit and provided relief I hadn’t had in years! Will be back and I HIGHLY recommend him!

I originally went to The Joint Chiropractic for a quick adjustment. That was a mistake. Dr. N was incredible. He listed to the history of my accident, gave me a clear agenda of what we would do during the appointment, and had great overall communication throughout. Definitely a trustworthy doctor.

I type a lot and work long hours so I suffer from bad posture which causes neck and shoulder pain. Dr. Nguyen explained his treatment plan and made sure I understood what’s involved. He also showed me correct postures and exercises I can do while at work and home. It was simple enough so did not have to alter my routine in major way. Pain gradually subsided and I am feeling a lot better.

My coworker referred me to Dr. Nguyen after I was involved in an auto accident. My work requires physical activities so I needed to get better ASAP. He understood my situation and got to work right away. I followed his treatment plan thoroughly and saw my condition improving shortly after.

I sprained my ankle during a basketball game. Dr. Nguyen treated it and showed me some stability exercises to help the condition from not reoccurring. I am back playing basketball every other day and my ankle’s been feeling fine.

I had low back pain that’s been bothering me for a while so I decided to visit a Chiropractor. I was pleasantly surprised to find out Dr. Nguyen is very easy going and enjoy sports just like me. Unlike other doctors, you usually visit Chiropractors number of times so I think it’s important that the patient and the doctor have a good chemistry. With Dr. Nguyen, you won’t have to worry about that. It was a very good experience for me.
