Mr. Hyman earned his master's degree in nursing from Boston College and is ANCC board certified. What should a new client know about working with you?
I dedicate time educating my clients about their symptoms and treatment. Since mental health is shaped by the patient's active participation, I encourage clients to be fully engaged throughout the treatment process. In addition to addressing their psychiatric symptoms, I incorporate self-care and lifestyle choices into their treatment plan to enhance overall health and well being.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
During a 60-minute session, patients can expect a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to identify and prioritize symptoms that may require treatment. After determining which symptoms to address, we discuss the risks and benefits of various treatment options. I use my knowledge and experience to guide patients in making informed decisions. Follow-up appointments focus on symptom monitoring to ensure remission is achieved and sustained.

Amazing psychiatrist I have recommended to other family members and friends as it’s a quick fast wait time before appointment with a psychiatrist who truly listens to your needs and helps you achieve what you need to with medications and recommendations for daily life and I can honestly say he’s very genuine and positive and he’s an amazing psychiatrist that I’ve started seeing that you can tell truly cares about his patients!
I’ve had nightmare stories with psychiatrists in the past and not meeting my full needs and/or kept switching medications to things that didn’t work for me, so trust me when I say Dr.Hyman is the man to go to and I trust with all my psychiatric needs.

I was looking for a second opinion after leaving another provider feeling unheard and invalidated. William Hyman left me feeling hopeful again, and like my lived experiences mattered.
